ALOUD

Terms of use

Effective 2026-07-27 · operated by SET-YOUR-NAME-OR-COMPANY

By using https://readaloud.online you agree to these terms. If you do not, please do not use it.

What Aloud is

Aloud is a free tool that reads text aloud, runs it as a teleprompter and transcribes dictation, using speech features already built into your browser. There is no account and no payment.

Your text is yours

We claim no ownership of anything you type, paste or dictate. We do not receive it, so we could not use it even if we wanted to. You are responsible for having the right to use whatever text you put into it.

Fair use of the service

No warranty

Aloud is provided as it is, without warranty of any kind. The available voices, the quality of the speech and the accuracy of dictation come from your browser and operating system, and vary between devices and versions. We do not promise the site will be uninterrupted, error free, or suitable for any particular purpose.

Do not rely on Aloud as the only copy of anything. Your script is kept in your own browser and can be lost by clearing browser data, switching device or using private browsing. Use the download button for anything that matters.

Limitation of liability

To the extent the law allows, we are not liable for any indirect or consequential loss arising from your use of the site, including lost work, lost data or lost time. Nothing here limits liability that cannot be limited by law.

Third-party services

Dictation relies on speech recognition provided by your browser's maker, and where advertising is enabled it is provided by Google. Those services have their own terms, which you accept by using them.

Changes

These terms may change; the effective date above will change with them. Continuing to use the site means accepting the current version.

Governing law

These terms are governed by the laws of SET-YOUR-COUNTRY.
